Picture this – A classic theater in an historic Albuquerque neighborhood, beautifully restored to glory. Envision a place where children from different parts of the city, different schools and different ethnic backgrounds can participate in creative activities and be encouraged to succeed.

You’ve just imagined something magical, happening right now in the Highland neighborhood. NDI New Mexico has begun teaching dance, theater and music classes in the Hiland Theater. We’ve built sparkling new rehearsal studios where children come after school and on Saturdays to dance, leap and sing.

Welcome to National Dance Institute of New Mexico’s Hiland Theater.

Your gift to the Campaign for Albuquerque will help us:

• help children develop discipline, a standard of excellence, and a belief in themselves that will carry over into all aspects of their lives;
• improve self-confidence, school attendance and general behavior in and out of school;
• improve grades and standardized achievement test scores;
• promote good health through vigorous physical activity; and
• provide children with an opportunity to gain attention from peers, teachers and family members in positive ways.
