NDI New Mexico is founded with the knowledge that the arts have a unique power to engage and motivate children. The purpose of our distinctive programs is to help children develop discipline, a standard of excellence, and a belief in themselves that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.
NDI New Mexico's statewide Outreach Program partners with public schools throughout New Mexico to provide dance classes as part of each school's regular curriculum. A certified NDI New Mexico instructor and professional pianist teach every class. At the conclusion of each program, students celebrate and share their successes through a performance or assembly attended by family, friends, peers, and community members. NDI New Mexico offers programs in 15 or 30-week formats with weekly classes or 1-to-3-week intensive residencies with daily classes.
NDI New Mexico brings award-winning arts and healthy lifestyle programs to underserved children in urban, rural and Native American communities throughout New Mexico. NDI New Mexico’s statewide outreach is offered in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Northern New Mexico and in Residency programs throughout the state.
This year, NDI New Mexico programs will reach over 6,600 children, 500 public school teachers
and more than 66,000 audience members statewide.
