Rules

NDI New Mexico at The Dance Barns strives to maintain a creative and flexible learning environment for students taking classes.  Our program fosters mutual respect – for fellow students, instructors and staff and the building itself.

Parents and students are encouraged to read our policies and call 505-795-8088 with questions.

• Students must be in accordance with the dress code at all times. Students not in appropriate dress code will receive a warning. Repeated violations of the dress code will result in a student being asked to watch class/not participate, followed by a request to leave class and return with proper attire. For voice students, the same applies to bringing the music folder to class.
   
• Students must be dropped off no earlier than ten minutes prior to class time and must be picked up within ten minutes of class ending. If an adult is unable to arrive on time, it is necessary to notify the SPA office at 795-7088. NDI New Mexico reserves the right to call the emergency contacts on the registration form and then, only if necessary, the police, for students who are not picked up in a timely manner.
   
• All students under age eighteen must be signed out by an adult at the time of departure. This procedure ensure the safety of our children. Students who provide their own transportation must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
   
• Friends or relatives not enrolled in SPA classes are not allowed to loiter on the NDI New Mexico premises, in or outside the building, at any time.
   
• NDI New Mexico is a drug-free and smoke-free environment. Those found in violation of this policy will be removed from the program.
   
• Harassment (bullying, sexual harassment, cyber-harassment, etc) of any student by a student or parent is unacceptable. Those found engaging in such behavior will be removed from the program.
   
• NDI New Mexico requires that students do not engage in self-injurious behaviors. Students found to be engaging in such behaviors may be removed from the program. The student’s safety is our primary concern and we take appropriate steps in response to concern about safety.

Students who do not follow these rules may be dismissed from the program at any time. No refunds are given to students who are dismissed from the program.
