Jacques d’Amboise introduced the NDI methodology in one Santa Fe public elementary school in 1991. In 1994, when NDI New Mexico was incorporated, NDI New Mexico served 100 children in Santa Fe. Today NDI New Mexico serves 13 schools in Santa Fe and Pecos. The program reaches 871 children, 42 classroom teachers and 14,864 community audience members.
In 1995 NDI New Mexico added Super Wonderful Advanced Team (SWAT) for 4th- through 6th-graders. In 1997 the first Celebration Team for 6th through 9th grade students was offered. Company Xcel was born when graduating Celebration students and their parents requested additional training. NDI New Mexico serves 346 Santa Fe children in grades 3 – 12 with advanced training classes.
