The NDI-NM School for the Performing Arts (NDI-NM SPA) provides highly energetic, disciplined, and joyful classes in dance and musical theatre technique at The Dance Barns in Santa Fe. Students can choose from an array of classes including: Acting, Ballet, Dance/Technique for Tots, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theatre, NDI-Style Dance, Tap, and Voice. We offer levels from Tiny Tots through Level V and some adult classes.

Our Goals

provide high-quality, after-school dance and theater arts training;
provide access to classes for children and families regardless of their ability to pay;
provide high quality instruction at all levels from those who want to begin their study of dance to those who need highly specialized advanced technique at the pe-professional level;

Company XCel

Company XCel is a pre-professional company comprised of our most advanced teenage students who are currently enrolled in the School for the Performing Arts. Company members attend from six to eight advanced classes each week including intensive daily classes in ballet, pointe, men's ballet, pas de deux, tap, jazz, theatre and voice. Weekly rehearsal blocks are dedicated to preparing for performances throughout the season.

We offer a sequential course of study designed to prepare performers for Company XCel. Our two areas of specialization, Ballet and Musical Theatre (dance, voice, acting), offer training and specific class requirements to give students a strong foundation in dance and musical theatre technique.
