Come Watch Us Dance!

Dear NDI New Mexico Family,

Winter is upon us, and here at NDI New Mexico that means our programs are in full swing! Throughout Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and the Española Valley, our students have opportunities to perform what they have learned in front of their community in mid-year assemblies at their schools.

We invite you to join us for one of these fun assemblies, which provide a window into the experience of children in NDI New Mexico classes, and give the audience a sneak peek at the grand finale students are learning for their End-of-Year Events.

What will you see at an assembly? A live pianist provides music for children to perform to, just as they do every week in class. Students demonstrate warm ups, games, and choreography, and show examples of how they’ve built up their endurance with continuous aerobic dancing! Children demonstrate what they have learned about math through movement with games about symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes and music note values, and much more! A school wide assembly gives students a special moment to practice performing on stage and doing their best in front of their friends and family.

What do NDI New Mexico students say when asked
“What does it feel like to perform at your school assembly?”

“It felt very different because I usually just perform in front of a few people. It felt great too because I got to show my excellence.” – Oliver, NDI New Mexico Student

“I learned that I am not afraid of being on stage and that I am a brave person.” – Marissa, NDI New Mexico Student

“EPIC!” – Gursangat, NDI New Mexico Student
