Carrie Terrell is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. A classical ballet dancer throughout high school into her early college years, she has a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in Spanish and English Literature. After University, Carrie moved to New York City where she worked in the Buying and Merchandising offices of Ralph Lauren. She was the Footwear Buyer for all of the Polo/ Ralph Lauren Retail and Factory Outlet Stores. She was promoted to the Merchandising Office where she helped develop the footwear line from both a financial and a design perspective. She acted as a direct liaison between Mr. Lauren’s office and the designers to ensure each season reflected Mr. Lauren’s vision while meeting consumer’s demands.
In August of 2000 Carrie moved overseas with her husband, Brian, to pursue his career. They lived in Montevideo, Uruguay; Caracas, Venezuela; Madrid, Spain; and Zurich, Switzerland. Since returning to Albuquerque, Carrie is working as an Interior Designer. In addition to serving on The NDI Board of Directors, she is a member of the Albuquerque Academy Alumni Council, a devout student of Yoga, fluent in Spanish and most importantly, a mother to her two children Grace and Capp.
