NDI New Mexico brings World-Renowned Broadway Stars
to work with teens at The Dance Barns, Santa Fe, NM

SANTA FE, NM—Dec 5-8, 2016—NDI New Mexico is honored to host two celebrated and world-renowned Broadway stars at The Dance Barns in Santa Fe, NM. Charlotte d’Amboise and Mary Ann Lamb will be setting a standout piece of Broadway choreography on fifteen advanced dancers, ages 15-18 years old, of NDI New Mexico’s, Company XCel. The six minute piece, Charleston, based on choreography from Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, will be taught and rehearsed in only four evenings. d’Amboise and Lamb will also be teaching a master class during their time here as a point of inspiration and growth for NDI New Mexico’s young, pre-professional dancers.

Charlotte d’Amboise, 1989 Tony Award nominee for Best Actress in a Musical, from Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, was also featured in, appearing as herself, Every Little Step, a documentary about A Chorus Line. d’Amboise and Lamb will share their career experiences which span from Chicago, Pippin, Chorus Line, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, Curtains, Fosse and Suessical with NDI New Mexico’s advanced students giving them the extraordinary opportunity to learn from world class performing artists and to see important choreographic works representing the best of Broadway.

It is an exquisite treat to have masters of their level in Santa Fe working with talented & disciplined teens – and they will undoubtably stimulate the talent pool in here, in Santa Fe.

Rehearsals for Charleston at The Dance Barns in Santa Fe are as follows: Monday, Dec. 5 from 6:30-8:15 pm; Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 5:45-8:15 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 6:30-8:15 pm and Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5:45-8:15 pm.

Master Class for NDI New Mexico’s Company XCel will be on Wednesday, Dec. 7 fom 5:00-6:30 pm.

The Dance Barns is located at 114 Alto Street in Santa Fe.
