NDI New Mexico brings Carnival of the Animals to Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM—Jan. 8, 2016— NDI New Mexico at The Hiland Theater in Albuquerque, NM is bringing Carnival of the Animals back with their Winter Dance Escape showcasing the talents of NDI New Mexico’s student dancers on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20. Winter Dance Escape will feature an opening act with Boston Ballet Guest Artists, New Mexico Ballet Company, and NDI New Mexico dancers.

Carnival of the Animals is a musical suite of fourteen movements by French composer Camille Saints-Saens. The performance will feature a live chamber orchestra and NDI New Mexico student dancers.

“It’s amazing that we can being in these extraordinary professional dancers. NDI’s Hiland students will get to share the stage with world class performing artists,” said NDI New Mexico Program Director, Evelyn Cisneros-Legate.

Performances of Winter Dance Escape at The Hiland in Albuquerque are on Friday, Feb.19 at 7p.m and Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7p.m.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 505-340-0200 or by visiting ndi-nm.org. Tickets are on sale now. The Hiland is located at 4800 Central Ave SE in Albuquerque.
