Teaching Excellence ®

NDI New Mexico is committed to developing highly trained instructors to deliver our unique methodology to children across the state. Instructors are the backbone of our programs, and their expertise is vital to a child’s engagement and success. Our Teaching Excellence®  workshop is a critical building block for training our instructors to develop the skills needed to conduct fast-paced, dynamic, and engaging classes. This year our two-week intensive was adapted for an online format, and apprentice teachers have continued their training online, working alongside our own master teachers as we adapted NDI New Mexico’s highly engaging, fun and athletic teaching methodology to the remote learning environment.

Inspiring

“This methodology benefited me so much as an aspiring dance educator. I learned not only how to inspire kids to dance, but also to become better people through dance!”

Learn our techniques for getting children’s minds and bodies moving. Learn to prove that joyful effort, tenacity and teamwork can equal success in life.

Hands-On

“I learned so much about classroom management; how to be quick, authoritative, concise, and keep students engaged!”

Work daily with public school students in 3rd through 6th grade. Workshop teaching tools that will make you a fast-paced and dynamic teacher, and immediately implement your new skills with students.

Immersive

“Tons of fun, I never knew I could learn so much in two weeks!”

Perform with your students at the end of the workshop

Lasting Impact

“This workshop changed my whole outlook on teaching; I interact with children in a whole new way.”

After the two-week training you will embody a huge range of new teaching skills that will serve you in any field of dance education.
